Stadium Application Submitted

The Macquarie Point Development Corporation has submitted its Project of State Significance (PoSS) application to the Tasmanian Planning Commission to start the assessment process for the Macquarie Point Multipurpose Stadium

Venues

Stadiums Tasmania was established to be the owner and operator of Tasmania’s largest and best-known outdoor stadiums and indoor arenas. Currently, Stadiums Tasmania is expected to assume responsibility for up to five venues. This includes two existing venues in Launceston, namely University of Tasmania Stadium (UTAS Stadium) and the Silverdome, and two existing venues in Hobart, namely MyState Bank Arena, and Ninja Stadium. Stadiums Tasmania is currently negotiating the transfer of these venues with the respective owner operators. Stadiums Tasmania will also assume the role of owner/operator of Mac Point Stadium in Hobart. Dial Park has been identified as a potential venue for Stadiums Tasmania to assume ownership and operation, with further investigation required to determine whether it is appropriate for inclusion within the Stadiums Tasmania portfolio.
